Deadline has reported that Destin Daniel Cretton has been hired into an exclusive multi-year contract with Disney and Marvel Studios to work on several projects based on Shang-Chi. Additionally, Hulu’s Onyx Collective has also been enlisted to produce projects alongside Cretton. The first project that he will be working on is the new Shang-Chi based MCU series for Disney+. He will also be returning to write and direct the sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Also under the deal, Cretton and Onyx Collective will be working on projects for Hulu. No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
